Bittensor’s TAO token has jumped more than 40% in a week, putting the recent rally back on traders’ radar. TAO rose 9.88% over 24 hours to $312.88, while Bitcoin gained 0.54%. The broader crypto market was up 0.66% over the same period.
Trading has picked up with the price move. TAO’s 24-hour volume increased by more than 54%, pointing to heavier activity around the token. Interest in AI-related crypto assets has also returned, although TAO now faces resistance around $325 to $330.
TAO Pushes Above Key Moving Averages
TAO is one of the crypto assets associated with artificial intelligence infrastructure. The latest rally has taken the token well beyond the range where it traded earlier this month.
According to Santiment data, TAO was trading near $220 earlier this month. It has since moved above $300, marking a sharp change in its short-term trend.
The move has taken TAO above its 50-day moving average near $252 and its 200-day average near $240. Both levels had previously acted as reference points for traders tracking the token’s broader trend.

The next test is closer to the current price. TAO faces resistance around $321, followed by the $325 to $330 area.
A move through that zone would put $344 and $366 on the chart as the next levels to watch. If buyers lose control, $275 becomes an important downside level.
Rising Volume Supports the Move
The increase in trading volume has accompanied TAO’s price surge. Volume rose more than 60% over the latest 24-hour period as the token moved higher.
That combination shows that more trading activity is taking place during the rally. Whether the volume remains elevated will be important as TAO approaches resistance.
The $321 level is now an immediate hurdle. Above it, traders could look toward $344 and $366.
On the other side, $275 remains a nearby support area. The $252 level is also worth watching because it is close to TAO’s 50-day moving average.
TAO has also found buyers around $200 several times in recent months. A deeper correction could bring that level back into focus.
Binance Adjusts TAO Margin Parameters
Binance changed its TAO margin parameters on September 18, raising the collateral ratio from 50% to 60%.
The change applies to both Cross Margin and Portfolio Margin. It affects the amount users can borrow or transfer under the relevant margin arrangements.
The adjustment comes as TAO has posted a sharp move higher. Leveraged positions can add to trading activity during such moves, but they also leave traders exposed to liquidations if the price turns lower.
TAO’s 9.88% daily gain makes that risk more noticeable. A quick reversal could put leveraged positions under pressure.
The market is therefore watching two parts of the move at once: demand in the spot market and positioning in leveraged products.
Analyst Maps Wider TAO Price Range
Analyst Dread Bongo pointed to TAO’s earlier price history when discussing the current move.
“Don’t forget.. $TAO ran 1,600% in 5 months $45 to $750 Since then.. its spent two years consolidating that massive move”
Dread Bongo said Bittensor’s fundamentals have improved since that earlier rally and raised the possibility of another major reprice.

The analyst’s weekly chart puts particular emphasis on the $200 area. TAO has found support around $190 to $200 during previous declines.
The chart also marks $310 to $390 as a major resistance area. Above that range, the analysis points to $490 and then the $700 to $750 area.
The downside level remains clear in the same analysis. A weekly close below $200 would weaken the setup and put more pressure on the recovery.
Bittensor Supply and Subnets Add Context
TAO’s supply structure is another factor traders are watching. Bittensor has a maximum supply of 21 million tokens.
The network’s first halving cut daily emissions from roughly 7,200 TAO to 3,600 TAO. Bittensor’s documentation outlines the network’s halving-based emission system.
The dTAO upgrade also changed the way Bittensor’s subnet economy works. Launched in February 2025, the upgrade introduced subnet-specific tokens and liquidity pools.
The pools pair TAO with individual subnet alpha tokens. Bittensor had 128 registered subnets by the end of 2025.
A March 2026 report documented more than 120 active subnets. Separately, a Q1 2026 ecosystem estimate put AI-service revenue near $43 million.
That $43 million figure comes from ecosystem research rather than standardized company financial reporting. It should therefore not be treated as reported corporate revenue.
$1,000 Would Require a Major Repricing
Some market commentary has put a $1,000 target on TAO, with the argument tied to its supply structure, subnet growth and potential institutional access.
Grayscale filed an amended S-1 for the Grayscale Bittensor Trust in April 2026. The filing outlined a proposed NYSE Arca listing if the registration statement becomes effective.
The filing does not mean that a spot ETF has been approved. Any institutional access resulting from the proposed listing therefore remains contingent on the regulatory process.
At $323, TAO would need to rise about 210% to reach $1,000. That would also take the token roughly 32% above its previous peak near $760.
For now, the nearer test remains $325 to $330. A move above that area would leave $344 and $366 as the next levels on the chart.
A reversal, meanwhile, would put $275 and $252 back in focus, with $200 remaining the larger support level to watch.
